Anceint China

In maths we have been doing calendars.

We all went in the group that we wanted to.

I chose to go in the group that had anceint chona because I wanted to know more about it I geuss lol.

The frist calendar started at 104BC.

The lunar calender witch means that thry changed moths everytime there was a new moon.

They sumetimes used sundials.

The calendar was told by the sesons or the sun.

If the sun was to the east it would be morning and in the west it would be tea time.

People in my group are….

Jessica, Grace, Shiloh and Tzigane.

How Do I Know The Olympics Are On……

Our teacher told us to shut our eyes and think of the first thing we thought of about the Olympics.So now we have to do a senses poem i did mine on swimming in Olympics…

I See…. The crowed cheering for there countrys, The different country colours!

I hear…. The spalshing of the water when the athlets hit the water, The buzzing thing that goes off when its ready to go!

I feel…. The exitment watching australians race, The saddness when a diferent country loses or us!

Different things about our school and ummul Guro

Different things about Saiful’s school and Our school
There school starts at 7:00 am and ends at 1:00pm and our school starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:30am.
They have to pray 5 times a day.
They eat rice for all there meals .
The girls when they are 6 have to start wearing a thing over there head they can only take it off when they are in there house.

Mrs Leo and her virtual classroom

Today, Mrs Leo came from Boston, north eastern USA, into our grade 6 and 7 class. She used “virtual classroom software” which has been developed by an Australian, to share some PowerPoint slides, audio, video and chat. Let’s reflect on this amazing lesson and write a post about it.

Describe some of the slides she presented.

There was one about our school we had to tell her where things were like the stadium, ICT room and the art room was.

Discuss some of the questions she asked us:

She asked us what type of past vegemite was, Where things were in the school, do you eat outside or inside.

Which questions surprised you most?

What type of past vegemite was because I thought USA owned vegemite.

Do you enjoy being in a virtual classroom. Justify your reasons?
Yes, because it is fun being able to use the tools and things and on the smart board it was fun u could use your finger.
What skills do you think we need to develop and improve upon to successfully participate in such a class? There were to many people there and they talked to much.
Can you see this as being the classroom of the future? Why or why not? Would you like it to be? Yes, because it is just coming in and it could be the new thing I dunno.

Olive Riley, the worlds oldest blogger died.

She 108 and died on the 12th of July.

SHE WAS A HAPPY PERSON????
